How to make Misal Pav

Step 1

Misal Pav is a simple yet delicious Maharashtrian recipe, which can be prepared at home without putting in much efforts. To prepare this delectable recipe, take a chopping board and begin with chopping onions, tomatoes and coriander leaves and keep them aside.

Step 2

Then, take a pan and heat it on medium flame and add 2 tsp of refined oil. Once the oil gets heated, add some cumin seeds, mustard seeds and let them splutter. Then add some onions, sprinkle some turmeric powder and saute this mixture for at least 4 minutes.

Step 3

Then add some sprouted beans and ginger-garlic paste to the mixture. Saute this mixture until the ingredients are roasted well. You can also use sprouted moth beans rather than using sprouted beans to prepare this dish. Now, add coriander powder, garam masala, chili powder and tomatoes to the pan and cook until you get a soft mixture. Then, add 4 cups of the water in the pan and cook until the sprouted beans are soft enough.

Step 4

Once done garnish the Misal recipe with some lemon wedges, coriander leaves and pair it with some pav. You can also garnish it with a cube of butter and some sev or namkeen as per your taste preference and delve in the flavours of this amazing dish.
